Delivery inspection

Vehicle interior
  • Fuse and/or fuses (in ashtray): Install
 
Assigning user profiles to ignition key, entering customers name 
  • Central display and operating unit at front in center console:
Communication system operation using Radio/Navigation Display Control Module -J503- in center console 
  • Specify language for text and acoustic output.

  • Select units

Batteries: Check 
  • Battery and second battery (if installed): Check battery terminals are seated securely by hand
Battery: Check battery terminals for secure seating 
Vehicle exterior
  • Edge protection (plastic foil) on doors: Remove
 
  • Check vehicle exterior for cleanliness: Paintwork, decorative parts, windows, wiper blades, surfaces
 
  • Wheel bolts: Tighten to correct torque setting

  • Install all equipment which has been included with the vehicle (if applicable)
 
  • wheel caps of the wheel bolts install
 
Tires
  • Tire pressure in all 4 tires and spare tire: Check, if necessary correct
Tire inflation pressure (including spare wheel): Checking, correcting inflation pressures using Tire filler unit VAS 5216 if necessary → Tire pressure with tire pressure control system: Check 
  • Store changed tire pressure values in Radio/Navigation Display
Changed tire pressure values: Storing in Radio/Navigation Display 
Vehicle from below
  • Vehicle from below; Perform visual check for leaks and damage (without removing engine noise insulation): Assemblies, steering, CV joint boots, brake system, hoses, fluid reservoirs.
Constant velocity joint boots: Visual inspection 
  • Vehicle underside (floor pan): Perform visual check for damage
Underbody protection: Perform visual check for damage 
Engine compartment
  • Windshield wash/wipe system and headlight wash system: Check function and adjustment; top off to maximum with fluid G 052 164
Windshield wash/wipe system and headlight wash system: Checking nozzle setting, adjusting nozzles if necessary 
  • Engine oil level: Check; note oil specification!
Engine oil level: Check 
  • Engine and components in engine compartment (from above): Visual check for leaks and damage
Engine and components in engine compartment: Perform visual inspection (from above and below) for leaks and damage 
  • Coolant level: Check level is at maximum
Cooling system: Check coolant level and freeze protection 
  • Power assisted steering: Oil level, checking
Power assisted steering: Fluid level, checking 
  • Brake fluid level: Check level is at maximum
Brake fluid level (depending on brake pad wear): Check 
Documentation / final inspection
  • Service sticker "First service" → Apply sticker First service (at the delivery inspection): under Apply sticker "First service" (at the delivery inspection):  : Apply sticker on drivers side door jamb (B-pillar); the sticker is located on an instruction which is attached at front in the vehicle wallet. Destroy the instruction after attaching the sticker!

  • Service schedule: Enter delivery inspection
 
  • Check literature for vehicle is complete, and prepare for delivery to customer
 
  • Primary key, secondary key and plastic tags with key number: Check whether keys mentioned are present
 
  • Check function of keys and wipe off grease if necessary

  • Perform test drive
