Shift Knob, Boot And Noise Insulation

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing

-- Open the ashtray.

-- Remove the boot with the plastic frame from the center console frame -1- using the special hook 3370 in the -direction of the arrow-.

-- Hold the center console frame securely -1-.

It must not be removed.

Connectors for various switches could be loosened unintentionally.

-- Roll the boot up over the shift knob.

-- Open the clamp -arrow- and remove the shift knob and boot.

-- Remove the noise insulation.

Installing

-- Install the noise insulation.

Noise insulation installed position:

-Arrow A- points in the direction of travel.

The tabs -B arrows- must latch into the center console.

-- Turn the inside of the boot toward the outside.

Install the shift knob all the way on.

-- Install the shift knob and boot and press the new clamp -arrow- together.

-- First, insert the boot plastic frame at the rear.
