Selector Mechanism Overview, Through 02.09
WARNING:
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
- Selector Handle with Cover
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover needs the be removed. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, MANUAL RELEASE .
- Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a tie strap or tape. This prevents the button from being pushed back into the handle accidentally.
- If the button is pushed in:
-- Just before installing, pull the button out beyond the press point (sense this by touch).
- Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM WITH LEVER, THROUGH 02.09 .
- Bolt with Spring
- 3 Nm
- Pin
- Removing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, THROUGH 02.09 .
- Do not lubricate.
- Retainer
- Always replace after removing.
- Nut
- 9 Nm
- Quantity: 4
- Selector Housing
- With seal.
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not grease the cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, THROUGH 02.09 .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .

- Nut
- 8 Nm
