Selector Mechanism Overview, From 03.09

WARNING:

Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.

Selector Handle with Cover
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. Unclip only the cover for the emergency release. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, MANUAL RELEASE .
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
Selector Lever and Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever Cable
- With the shift lock solenoid -N110-.
- Do not grease the cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER AND MECHANISM WITH SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, FROM 03.09 .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .

Retainer
- Always replace after removing.
