2006> Passat - EPB light on after RVU O2 or O3
The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) light may come on after performing the O2 or O3 (ECM flashes) required vehicle updates (RVUs). The fault code 01315 - "check DTC fault memory of the transmission control" may also be set in the EPB memory. Attempts to clear the fault may fail as well. Perform the following to repair the concern:
- Lock the doors with the remote and wait a couple minutes until the modules go to sleep mode.
- Unlock door with remote and start vehicle. The light should now be out and the fault cleared.
