If diagnosis leads to the replacement of the compass module, the new module (3C8 919 965 for Passat 1Q0 919 965 A for EOS and 1K5 919 965 D for Jetta) may need to be coded after installation for proper function.
The replaced module may have not included an option for coding. Code the new module to a value of "1" then perform the setup of the zone and calibration
