Electrical Component Locator: Motors

NOTE: All engine specific components listed in the following tables below apply to the 2.5L only. Component location information for the 1.9L diesel engine is not supplied by the manufacturer. For additional information regarding 1.9L diesel components, see appropriate system repair article.
MOTORS LOCATION

Component Location
Leak Detection Pump In right rear wheelwell, near fuel filler door. See Figure.
Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Motor On lower left side of engine. See Figure.
Starter On front side of transmission case. See Figure.
Throttle Drive (Electronic Power Control (EPC)) On intake manifold. See Figure.
