Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview

WARNING:

Shift the selector lever into the "P" position and press the foot operated parking brake before working with the engine running.

  1. Selector Lever Handle
  2. Clip
  3. Selector
  4. Emblem
    • Self-adhesive.
  5. Sleeve
  6. Cover
  7. Printed Circuit Board
    • With the Tiptronic switch -F189-.
  8. Cover Strip/Frame
  9. Wire
  10. Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
  11. Selector Lever Park Position Solenoid -N380-
  12. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
    • Quantity: 4
  13. Bracket
  14. Bracket
  15. Selector Mechanism
    • With the shift lock solenoid and selector lever park position solenoid.
    • Release the selector lever in the case of power outage (emergency release). Refer to SELECTOR LEVER EMERGENCY RELEASE .
    • Can be removed upward.
  16. Bolt
  17. Mounting Bracket/Cover
    • Can only be removed downward.
  18. Retaining Washer
    • Always replace.
  19. Selector Lever Cable
  20. Retaining Washer
    • Always replace.
  21. Mounting Bracket
    • For the selector lever cable to the transmission.
    • When tightening, ensure the bracket does not distort.
  22. Bolt
    • M6 - 10 Nm
    • M8 - 23 Nm
    • Self locking
    • Always replace
    • The threaded holes for the bolts in the transmission must always be cleaned. (for example, with a thread tap).
