2005 Jetta with 2.5L - Engine Replacement Note
When diagnosis leads to engine replacement, make sure you transfer the trigger wheel for the engine speed sensor to the new engine. The new assembly does not come with the wheel installed. Without the trigger wheel installed, the new engine will not start and may also be accompanied by faults for the G28 engine speed sensor.
