SERVICE INFORMATION

2005> New Jetta / Rabbit / GTI / Tiguan / Eos - Cruise Control can not be activated using the SET/RES Button

For concerns "the cruise control cannot be activated using the SET/RES button", check the software of J527 (Steering Column Electronic Systems Module). If the last digit is a "0", then run the test plan "Adaptation cruise control system debounce counter". If the last digit of the software is 1, then further diagnosis will be required. This is currently available as of GFF version 12.86.02. New Jetta vehicles will have to run the test plan as a GTI as this plan will be added at a later date.
