2005-2006 New Jetta A5, Rabbit and GTI, Comfort Module Operation

After installing a new comfort module in these vehicles, if you experience incorrect operation, e.g. exterior lights flash when pressing arm on remote but door locks do not respond. It is possible that the Comfort Control Module may still be in the factory mode. Perform the following steps to allow proper operation:

Select Vehicle Self Diagnosis
Select Address Word 46
Select Function 10 Adaptation Channels
Enter Channel 19
Change value to 0 (0 = factory mode inactive, 1 = factory mode active).
