1999 > All Vehicles, All Engine Codes except 2.0L AEG - ECM Replacement
If an Engine Control Module (ECM) had been replaced for any reason, it will be necessary to turn the cruise control back on. A procedure in Guided Fault Finding (GFF) can accomplish this. A manual procedure using the "Self Diagnosis" function can also be used if a "G" is located after the part number or before the software level.
Follow the steps listed below if using the "Self Diagnosis" function:
- Select vehicle system "01-Engine electronics".
- Select "Access authorization/permission" then click on "Coding II".
- To activate the cruise control, enter code 00003 for 1999 vehicles, 11463 for all other vehicles and, if needed, 16167 to turn the cruise control off.
