- Place the new control unit into the retaining frame.
- Install control unit connector and lock.
- Check the previous coding and the coding of the new control unit → Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) Engine Control Module (ECM) J248 , coding
- Match engine control unit to electronic immobilizer. → 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- Check DTC memory and, if necessary, repair any malfunctions and then erase → Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking and erasing .
- Generate readiness code → Readiness code, setting
