Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) Engine Control Module (ECM) J248 , replacing: Removing

Print out Engine Control Module (ECM) J248 identification and previous ECM code as follows:
Connect Scan Tool (ST) V.A.G 1551/1552 → Scan Tool V.A.G 1551 , connecting .
Press - 0 - and - 1 - buttons to select Address word 01: "Engine Control Module (ECM)".
Switch ignition on.

Scan Tool (ST) V.A.G 1551 display will show Engine Control Module (ECM) identification, e.g.:

038906018M 1.9l R4 EDC G00AG 1813 ->
Coding XXXXX WSC XXXXX

Print out Engine Control Module (ECM) J248 identification by pressing Scan Tool (ST) print button.
Press → button.
Press buttons - 0 - and - 6 - for the function "End output" and confirm entry with the - Q - button.
Switch off ignition.

Remove wiper arms and cowl panel: →92 WINDSHIELD WIPER & WASHER SYSTEM
Remove connector from Engine Control Module (ECM) J248.

Press securing tab - arrow - to left and pull Engine Control Module (ECM) J248 out.
