2 - Engine bracket

3 - 5 Nm

• Fastened to intake manifold

4 - Dipstick

• Oil level must not be above the max. mark!
• Marks Markings on oil dipstick 

5 - Guide tube

• For dipstick
• Secured by a bolt to intake manifold

6 - Cylinder block

• Removing and installing sealing flange and dual-mass flywheel, refer to Sealing flange and dual-mass flywheel, removing and installing  under Sealing flange and dual-mass flywheel, removing and installing 
• Removing and installing crankshaft, refer to Crankshaft, removing and installing 
• Piston and connecting rod, disassembling and assembling, refer to Piston and connecting rod, disassembling and assembling 

7 - Knock sensor 1 G61

• Component location: Between cyl. 1 and cyl. 3

8 - 20 Nm

• Torque setting influences the function of knock sensor

9 - 10 Nm

10 - Oil pump drive cover

11 - O-ring

• Replace
• Oil before assembling

12 - Oil pump drive

13 - Oil non-return valve, 5 Nm

• Note installation position
• Clean if badly soiled
• See note, refer to Engine, disassembling and assembling  

14 - Intermediate shaft

15 - Thrust washer

16 - 10 Nm

• Install with locking fluid "D6"

17 - Knock sensor 2 G66

• Component location: Between cyl. 4 and cyl. 6

18 - Input shaft

• For oil pump drive

19 - Oil pump

• Disassembling and assembling, refer to Oil pump, assembly overview 
• Coat oil pressure line at cylinder block and oil pump housing with sealing compound AMV 188 001 02

20 - 25 Nm

21 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm

• Replace seal

22 - Oil pan

• Removing and installing, refer to Oil pan, removing and installing 

23 - Oil level thermal sensor G266

24 - 12 Nm

25 - Oil filter housing

• Disassembling and assembling, refer to Oil filter housing, assembly overview 
• Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to Coolant hose connection diagram 

26 - Fitting bolt, 25 Nm

27 - Compact bracket

• For generator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump

28 - Vibration damper

• Removing and installing ribbed belt, refer to Ribbed belt, removing and installing  under Ribbed belt, removing and installing 

29 - 100 Nm + ¹ / ₄ turn (90 ° )

• Replace
• Use counter-holder T10069 to loosen and tighten To loosen and tighten securing bolt, hold vibration damper with counter-holder T10069 
• Fasten with torque wrench V.A.G 1601
