Transverse Acceleration Sensor and Rotation Rate Sensor, Removing and Installing
Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200 and Rotation Rate Sensor G202 are installed in one housing. It is located under the center console extension or under the rear seat bench.
Removing
4-seater:
- Remove center console extension. → 68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT .
5-seater:
- Remove rear seat bench. → 68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT .
Procedure for both vehicles:
- Disconnect connector from transverse acceleration sensor / rotation rate sensor.
- Unscrew two mounting nuts - arrows -.

Installing
CAUTION:
Strong vibrations can destroy the sensor for transverse acceleration /rotational rate..
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
When installing sensor for transverse acceleration / sensor for rotation rate make sure it is correctly seated in its mounting and is free of stress.
Do not use the securing nuts to forcibly position the sensor for transverse acceleration / sensor for rotation rate.
- Tighten the nuts to 6 Nm.
