Checking resistance at sensor

• Measure resistance at Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor -G42- terminals 1 + 2.

Range A displays resistance values for temperature range of 0 to 50 ° C, range B displays resistance values for the temperature range of 50 to 100 ° C.

Read-out examples:

• 30 ° C is in range A and corresponds to a resistance of 1.5 to 2.0 k Ω
• 80 ° C is in range B and corresponds to a resistance of 275 to 375 Ω

If specified value is not obtained:

• Replace Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor -G42- with Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-. Refer to Charge air cooler, assembly overview  , item 9 .
• Erase DTC memory of Engine Control Module (ECM). Refer to Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data 
• Generate readiness code. Refer to Readiness code, generating 

If specified value is obtained:

• Check wires to Engine Control Module (ECM) according to wiring diagram. Refer to Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, checking  .
