Ignition Key Removal Lock, Checking

Applies Only to Vehicles with Automatic Transmission 

-- Turn ignition key into position "ignition on".

-- Press brake pedal.

Selector lever must now be able to be shifted out of park position.

If this is not the case, locking cable must be adjusted. [For transmission(s) 09G] Diagnosis and Testing or to [For transmission(s) 01M] Diagnosis And Testing

It must not be possible to remove ignition key with selector lever in any position other than park.

If ignition key stands in position "ignition off", selector lever must not be able to be shifted out of park position!
