Comfort System Central Control Module

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:

The comfort system central control module -J393- is located behind the trim on the trim on the left side of the steering column.

CAUTION:
  • Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.
  • Remove the key.

Removing 

-- Remove the cover on the driver side footwell and the trim on the bottom of the steering column. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove bolts -3-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1- and -2- and remove them from the comfort system central control module -4-.

NOTE:

The number of connectors depends on the vehicle equipment.

-- Remove the comfort system central control module -4-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-- Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm.

After installing a new comfort system central control module, it must be coded. Refer to COMFORT SYSTEM CENTRAL CONTROL MODULE, CODING .
