Notes On Operation
- Never remove the memory device if you have selected the USB connection baseplate as the source. It may destroy the storage medium.
- Do not insert an MP3 player directly in the USB connection baseplate, the connection could be damaged. Always use a USB extension cable instead.
- Do not connect any other devises to the USB connection baseplate other than a USB memory stick or an MP3 player. It is not possible to play hard drives or USB hubs via the USB connection baseplate.
- The maximum input of the USB memory device must not exceed 2.5 W (500 mA/5 V).
- Never insert metal objects into the USB connection baseplate. They may cause a short circuit and damage the unit.
- If the USB connection baseplate does not recognize the device after 15 seconds, remove the device and insert it again.
- Some MP3 players must be activated with a button to create the USB connection. Refer to the Operating Instructions.
- The permissible temperature range of USB sticks and MP3 players is limited and often lies between 0° C and 40° C. For this reason, inform the customer that the storage medium must not be left in the vehicle for extended periods.
