plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)

Axial clearance
New 0.10 to 0.31 mm
Wear limit 0.37 mm
Check radial clearance with Plastigage
New 0.01 to 0.06 mm
Wear limit 0.12 mm
(Do not rotate crankshaft when checking radial clearance)

Industrially cracked connecting rod

Separating cap from connecting rod 30 Nm
plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°)

Axial clearance
New 0.10 ... 0.35 mm
Wear limit 0.4 mm
Check radial clearance with Plastigage
New 0.01...0.05 mm
Wear limit 0.09 mm
(Do not rotate crankshaft when checking radial clearance)
