Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Components, Removing And Installing







NOTE:
- Components marked with * are checked via On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
- Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Relay -J299-*, See Fig. 1

1 Combination valve
2 Seal
3 Connecting piece
- Secured at cylinder head
4 Bracket
5 10 Nm
6 Bracket
- Secured at intake manifold
7 To vacuum reservoir
8 Vacuum hose
9 Connector
- 2-pin
10 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-*
- Secured at bracket to 6 Nm
- Resistance: 21...24 Ohms
11 Intake hose
- For Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump
- Check for secure fitting
- To disengage, squeeze together at front
12 To air filter
13 O-ring
14 Connector
- 2-pin
- For Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor
15 10 Nm
16 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Motor -V101-*
17 10 Nm
18 Pressure hose
- Check for secure fitting
- To disengage, squeeze together at front
19 10 Nm
- secured at bracket, see item 6
20 10 Nm
21 Seal

- Remove battery Ground (GND) strap if tools are necessary for removal of relays or control modules from the relay carrier.
- Obtain radio code for radios with anti-theft coding before disconnecting battery.
