5 - Toothed belt for balancing shafts
- Mark direction of rotation before removing
- Check for wear
- Do not kink

6 - Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
- Note position when fitting toothed belt → Toothed belt drive for balancing shafts, removing, installing, and adjusting
7 - Upper balancing shaft
- Driven by toothed belt
- Note position when fitting toothed belt → Toothed belt drive for balancing shafts, removing, installing, and adjusting , Toothed belt drive for balancer shafts, removing, installing, and tensioning
8 - Securing plate
9 - 10 Nm
- Insert with locking fluid D 000 600 A2 (Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for the latest part number information).
10 - Lower balancing shaft
- Note position when fitting toothed belt → Toothed belt drive for balancing shafts, removing, installing, and adjusting , Toothed belt drive for balancer shafts, removing, installing, and tensioning
11 - Oil seal
12 - Sealing flange, front
- Clean sealing surface before installing
- Coat sealing surfaces to cylinder block with sealant D 176 501 A1 (Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for the latest part number information).
13 - 8 Nm
14 - Upper balancing shaft toothed belt sprocket
- Note position when fitting toothed belt → Toothed belt drive for balancing shafts, removing, installing, and adjusting
15 - 25 Nm
