Transmission, Disassembling And Assembling: Notes

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Spindle 3253/1 from assembly tool 3253
• Assembly tool T10064
• Bell T10064/1 and thrust pieces T10064/6A from assembly tool T10064.

Brief Description 

At the start of transmission repairs, the two halves of the housing must be separated. Then the differential, the ATF pump, the planetary gear set III and clutch "K4" must be removed.

• The transmission is secured to the assembly bracket, refer to Transportation of automatic transmission, securing transmission to repair stand  .
• The torque converter has been removed.
• The valve body has been removed, refer to Valve body, removing and installing  .
• Flange shafts have been removed, refer to Flange shafts oil seals, replacing .
