Installation position of locking cable

• 1 - Footwell vent
• 2- Instrument panel support
• 3 - Heater

• First check whether a coded radio is installed. If so, obtain anti-theft code.
• Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap. Refer to 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL .
• Remove driver side airbag unit and steering wheel. Refer to 69 - PASSENGER PROTECTION - AIRBAGS, SEAT BELTS .
• Remove left trim beneath dash panel. Refer to 68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT .

• Remove steering column trim. Refer to 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
• Remove handle for adjusting reach and height of steering column.
• Turn ignition key to ignition on position.
• Move selector lever to "P" position.
