Lost Key Procedure

- Determine all numbers required for key preparation and the adaptation procedure to follow:

1 - Lock number of ignition key:
- On customer's key chain,
- Available from Importer upon provision of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
2 - Identification number of control module for immobilizer (needed to determine secret number:
- Identification number readable via On Board Diagnostic (OBD), see "Check control module version".

Secret number, determining
If 4-digit secret number is not known, then secret number must be obtained from the corporate radio/immobilizer code retrieval system (supply the 14-digit Immobilizer identification number).

Every control module for immobilizer has its own secret number!


NOTE:
- There are different ignition keys with different types of transponders. Note part number when ordering!
- Replacement ignition keys for Immobilizer III must be marked with an imprinted "W3".


- Adapt all vehicle keys.
