Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03): Notes
NOTE:
If output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) recognizes a malfunction, instrument cluster must be replaced. If output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) does not recognize a malfunction, check wires and harness connectors to the instrument cluster.
Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) is a part of the electrical check. The following components can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM):
- Speedometer
- Tachometer
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge
- Fuel gauge
- Warning light for brake system
- Indicator lamp for seat belt warning system (if activated via coding)
- Buzzer/chime
- Display indications (odometer, multifunction indicator or digital clock, selector position indicator for automatic transmission)
- Warning lamp for coolant temperature/low coolant level
- Warning lamp for brake pad wear (if indicated via coding)
- Warning light for fuel reserve (where applicable)
- Warning light for oil pressure
