The remote control to lock and unlock the power lock system without using the mechanical key. The transmitter and the batteries are located in the key base. The receiver for the signal inside the passenger compartment. The operating range for the remote control is shown in illustration. See Fig 1 . The maximum range of effectiveness depends on several things. If the batteries are weak, the range will decrease.
