Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Checking (Function 02)
- Initiate On Board Diagnostic. See INITIATING ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER) & CHECKING INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CODING under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Switch printer on via the "PRINT" button (indicator lamp in button lights up). Indicated on display:
- Rapid data transfer HELP
- Select function XX
- Press buttons "0" and "2." This selects "Check DTC memory," function 02. Indicated on display:
- Rapid data transfer Q
- 02 - Check DTC Memory
- Press "Q" button to confirm input. Indicated on display:
- X malfunctions recognized!
- Display indicates the number of stored malfunctions, The stored malfunctions are displayed and printed out in sequence.NOTE: If "No DTC recognized" is displayed, the program will return to the "Select function" position after the right arrow button is pressed.
- Check print-out against DTC table and repair malfunction. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE .
- End Output (function 06). See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06) .
- Switch off ignition and disconnect Data Link Connector (DLC).
