Data Exchange Via "W"Circuit, J362 PIN Procedure

  1. Code immobilizer control module. See CONTROL MODULE FOR ANTI-THEFT IMMOBILIZER, CODING (FUNCTION 07)  .
  2. Connect VAS 5051. See Figure .
  3. Switch on ignition, select operating mode "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis". Select address word "25 - Immobilizer".
  4. Record 17-digit VIN and 14-digit Immobilizer ID number. Request 7-digit PIN from WIN system (must provide VIN and Immobilizer ID number). Select right arrow to proceed.
  5. Adapt all ignition keys. See IGNITION KEYS, ADAPTATION (FUNCTION 10)  .
  6. Connect VAS 5051. Switch on ignition, select operating mode "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis". Select address word "25 - Immobilizer".
  7. Select "Enabling (PIN)".
  8. Confirm notes.
  9. Enter 7-digit PIN using display keypad. Select right arrow to proceed.
  10. Confirm PIN. If PIN is correct, confirm by selecting "yes". If PIN is incorrect, select "no" and repeat PIN entry.
    NOTE: When entering a 7-digit PIN beginning with "0", the "0" may not show on the confirmation screen. Example: PIN "0123456" may appear as "123456" on the PIN input confirmation screen.
  11. Confirm note. Select "10 - Adaptation."
  12. Enter 0 and 0 using display keypad. Confirm entry by selecting "Q".
  13. Confirm message "Erase learned values" (or similar text). After 5 seconds, switch ignition back on.
    NOTE: Wait 2 minutes before starting engine.
  14. End output. See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06)  .
