Anti-Theft Immobilizer, Function

All anti-theft immobilizer control system functions are controlled by the control module for anti-theft immobilizer J362. Other than the induction coil of anti-theft immobilizer D2 and it's related wiring, there are no separate immobilizer components to be serviced.

The control module for anti-theft immobilizer J362 is located on the right instrument cluster mounting bracket, behind the instrument cluster.

Anti-theft immobilizer functions are monitored by On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) pertaining to immobilizer malfunctions are loaded into the DTC memory of the control module for anti-theft immobilizer J362. Always check the DTC memory first before performing immobilizer troubleshooting (scan tool function 02). See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
