Ignition Keys, Adaptation (Function 10): Notes
- If new or additional ignition keys are required, they must be adapted to the control module for anti-theft immobilizer.
- Observe procedure for replacement of lock set and immobilizer control module.
- All ignition keys, including existing keys, must be re-adapted.
- The number of keys currently adapted to the vehicle is displayed after selecting "Adaptation" function.
- If only one key is adapted, the vehicle can be started immediately using this key. If more keys are adapted, the vehicle can only be started immediately using the last key adapted.
CAUTION:
VAS 5051 Dealer/Importer numbers are stored in the immobilizer control module when adapting ignition keys.
