EPC Warning Lamp Functional Check



EPC Warning Lamp (Malfunction Lamp For Power Accelerator Activation) In Instrument Cluster, Significance

Function test:

- Switch ignition on: EPC warning lamp must light up.

If EPC indicator lamp does not light when ignition is switched on:
- Check instrument cluster and EPC warning lamp as follows:

If EPC warning lamp does not light when ignition is switched on:
- Start engine and let run at idle: EPC warning lamp must go out after a few seconds.

If EPC warning lamp does not go out:
- Check DTC memory, repair any malfunctions and then erase DTC memory.
- Read readiness code. If DTC memory was erased or Engine Control Module (ECM) was disconnected from continuous B+ supply, readiness code must be re-generated.
