Transverse Acceleration Sensor, Checking

-- Remove Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200-. Do not pull connector off Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200- when doing this. Removal and Installation

NOTE:

All functions that have so far been carried out with VAG 1551 can now also be carried out with the Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System VAS5051.

-- Connect Scan Tool VAG 1551.

The Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200- can be checked with the help of function "Read measured value block", display group number 005.

-- In read measured value block there are 3 display zones -arrows-. The values for the Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200- are displayed in display zone 2.

Read measured value block 4 -> 
-> 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 

Indicated on display: e.g. (vehicle stationary)

Read measured value block 4 -> 
0.0° 0.0m/s2 1.26°/S 
  1. With ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP only.

-- Turn 90° to right of installation position (see illustration).

-- Shown on display in display zone 2 (when vehicle stationary) e.g. -9.8 ±1 m/s2 .

A negative result equates to the forces during a right-hand turn.

-- Turn it 90° to left relative to installation position (see illustration).

-- Shown on display in display zone 2 (when vehicle stationary) e.g. 9.8 ±1 m/s2 .

A positive result equates to the forces during a left-hand turn.
