Basic Setting, Initiating: Notes
Function 04 "Initiate basic setting" performs several functions with ABS Mark 60:
- Display group number 001 is required only to bleed the hydraulic system DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 01 - BLEEDING HYDRAULIC UNIT
NOTE:
The basic setting is only necessary to bleed the hydraulic unit if at least one chamber of the brake fluid reservoir has completely run dry.
- Display group number 060 List Item: With ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP only. is required to perform a zero compensation of Steering Angle Sensor -G85- DISPLAY GROUP 60 - STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ZERO COMPENSATION . Then a driving test must be performed DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 93 - ACTIVATING ESP DRIVING TEST .
- Display group number 063 List Item: With ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP only. is required to perform a zero compensation of Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200- DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 063 - TRANSVERSE ACCELERATION SENSOR ZERO COMPENSATION . Then a driving test must be performed DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 93 - ACTIVATING ESP DRIVING TEST .
- Display group number 066 List Item: With ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP only. is required to perform a zero compensation of Brake Pressure Sensor 1 -G201- DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 66 - BRAKE PRESSURE SENSOR 1 ZERO COMPENSATION . Then a driving test must be performed DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 93 - ACTIVATING ESP DRIVING TEST .
- Display group number 093 List Item: With ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP only. is required to perform the driving test DISPLAY GROUP NUMBER 93 - ACTIVATING ESP DRIVING TEST . It is used to check the plausibility of the signals from the Steering Angle Sensor -G85-, Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200- and Brake Pressure Sensor 1 -G201-.
When the ABS Control Module -J104- (w/EDL) is replaced, a zero compensation must be performed for the following components:
- Transverse Acceleration Sensor -G200-.
- Steering Angle Sensor -G85-.
- Brake Pressure Sensor 1 -G201-.
When replacing a sensor, only a zero compensation of the respective sensor must be performed.
