Readiness code: Function
The readiness code is an 8 -digit number code which displays the emission diagnostic status.
When On Board Diagnostic for a system (e.g. exhaust gas recirculation system) has been successfully completed, the appropriate digit of the number code will be changed from 1 to 0.
Diagnosis is performed at regular intervals during normal driving. It is recommended that the readiness code be set after performing repairs on an emission system, to guarantee that these systems function correctly. If a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is detected during the diagnosis it will be entered in DTC memory.
Each time DTC memory is erased or voltage supply is interrupted the readiness code will be erased.
