Knock sensors, checking: Notes
NOTE:
- It is extremely important to keep to the tightening torque of 20 Nm to ensure the knock sensors function normally.
- Only gold plated terminals may be used when servicing the knock sensor harness connector terminals.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Scan Tool (ST) VAG 1551 or mobile scan tool VAG 1552 with adapter cable VAG 1551/3
- Test box VAG 1598/31
- Multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent)
- Adapter set VW 1594
