Readiness code
Function
The readiness code is an 8-digit code which displays the status of the emission relevant diagnostic.
When the diagnostic for a system (e.g. Secondary Air Injection (AIR) system) has been successfully completed, the corresponding position in the code will change from 1 to 0.
The diagnostic is performed at regular intervals during normal driving. It is recommended that the readiness code be generated after performing repairs on an emission relevant system to guarantee that these systems function correctly. If a malfunction is detected during the diagnostic it will be entered in DTC memory.
Each time DTC memory is erased, the readiness code will be erased.
