Intake manifold change-over, servicing

Only vehicles with engine code BEW 

Intake manifold change-over is switched depending on engine speed and Throttle Position (TP).

1 - 22 Nm 

2 - Connection tube 

• To cooler for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). Refer to item 10 in Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) components (vehicles with engine code BEW), removing and installing 

3 - Gasket 

• Always replace

4 - Upper part of intake manifold 

5 - O-ring 

• Always replace

6 - EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Valve -N18-* 

• Checking. Refer to EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Valve, checking 

7 - 10 Nm 

8 - O-ring 

• Always replace

9 - Intake manifold flap 

• With Motor for intake flap -V157-*, checking. Refer to Motor for intake flap, checking 

10 - 10 Nm 

11 - Gasket 

• Always replace

12 - Gasket 

• Always replace

13 - Lower part of intake manifold 

• With shift rod

14 - 10 Nm 

• Note tightening sequence

15 - Bracket 

16 - 10 Nm 

17 - Vacuum actuator 

18 - Vacuum hose 

19 - Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Valve -N316-
