WARNING:

Prior to working on the electrical system:

Obtain the radio system anti-theft code.
Switch off all electrical consumers.
Switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.
Disconnect the battery. Refer to Removal and Installation .

The Premium 5.5 and 5.5 Monsoon include a Premium radio with a cassette player or a CD player as well as an amplifier. The amplifier is inside the luggage compartment.

The powerful speakers for the Monsoon or VW Sound system are installed in the doors, side trims, and plenum chamber covers.

Anti-theft coding is equipped with a protection code number, deactivating electronic anti-theft system, refer to ANTI-THEFT CODING, ACTIVATING .

After connecting the battery, check all the vehicle accessories, for example, the radio, the clock, the Comfort packages. Refer to Removal and Installation and the service information.
