Satellite Radio -R146-

The Premium 5.5 and Premium 5.5 Monsoon are prepared for the satellite radio.

Sedan: From 03.04
Convertible: from 06.04

A separate satellite radio is installed in the front passenger footwell. The satellite radio works together with the Premium 5.5 and optionally with the Premium 5.5 Monsoon radio.

Satellite radio operation requires a Satellite tuner antenna -R172-.

Sedan: On the roof
Convertible - in the center of the instrument panel.

The satellite radio is used to receive radio satellite programs (XM/Sirius). Radio satellite programs are limited in North America.

Make sure the radio and the satellite radio are working correctly if there are customer complaints. Refer to the Operating Instructions.

Troubleshooting

The satellite radio has OBD.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051B under "Guided Fault Finding".

Repairing Antenna Wires

A new repair concept has been developed for repairing antenna wires. Instead of a complete antenna wire, connecting wires of different lengths and various adapter leads are now available as replacement parts.
