CONDITION

Incorrect parts received or parts installed do not work correctly after ordering Comfort Control Module or window regulator motors.

May be caused by failure to add appropriate (3) digit code into color code field of the Part No.

SERVICE

To order a Comfort Control Module or window regulator motor, your Parts Department must input the Part No., as well as a (3) digit code into the color code field of the Part No.

This (3) digit code is derived from a (2) digit code which can be obtained by using the following procedure:

Connect the VAS 5051 Diagnostic tool.

From the main screen select Vehicle Self Diagnosis.

Select Vehicle system 46 - Convenience System central module.

Obtain Part Nos. for central module and window lifters for reference.

Obtain the (2) digit code (arrow) directly below Part No. of the Convenience System central module. See Fig 1 (illustration shows upper right hand corner of 5051 Diagnostic tool).

• The correct (2) digit code is also shown after the Part No. of the Convenience System control modules in each door. See Fig 2 .

Once this (2) digit code is obtained:

• Partial view of Parts Catalog page. See Fig 3 .

Check the Parts catalog for the appropriate Part No. and match the (2) digit code to the (3) digit (color) code (in this case 061).

Add this color code to the Part No. when ordering.
