Kick Down Switch -F8- On Vehicles With EPC

Electronic Power Control (EPC) use electronic control of the throttle. They are not equipped with throttle cables.

Location: The kick down switch is integrated into accelerator pedal position sender (arrow), which is located near the accelerator pedal. See Figure .

For On Board Diagnostic (OBD): On vehicles without Data bus the signal is received via a wire from the engine control module. On vehicles with data bus, the automatic transmission control module receives the kick-down signal from the data bus.
