Display Field No. 2

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan and 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Start engine. Ensure outside temperature is 54°F (12°C) or more. Select minimum heater output for front passengers with front temperature cold button. Display should show "1". If display is not as specified, check wiring and connectors in Brown/White wire between terminal No. 1 of Climatronic Control Module (CCM) harness connector "C" and terminal No. 2 of A/C refrigerant shut-off valve behind D-pillar trim panel. If wiring is okay, replace A/C refrigerant shutoff valve and go to next step.
  2. Set maximum front heater output with front temperature warm button. Ensure outside temperature is 54°F (12°C). Display should show a "0". If display is not as specified, check wiring between terminal No. 1 (Brown/White wire) of CCM 28-pin connector "C" and terminal No. 2 (Brown/Black wire) of auxiliary heater control valve (located on left of firewall). If display is not as specified, replace A/C refrigerant shut-off valve (located behind "D"pillar trim).
