Display Field No. 2
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan and 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Display reads "0" when A/C pressure switch is open and "1" when switch is closed. First digit on display is for A/C clutch control and second digit is for radiator fan high speed control circuit. If "00" is displayed, both switches are open, indicating refrigerant is not charged. If "01" appears, this indicates very high refrigerant pressures. Circuit may be over charged or condenser cooling is insufficient. Repair any problem found and go to next step.
- If "- 0" displays, A/C clutch control cannot be checked because CCM may not be switched on, A/C evaporator switch is open or condenser cooling is not sufficient. If "-1" displays, A/C clutch cannot be checked because CCM may not be switched on, A/C evaporator switch is open or radiator fan has switched on and is running at high speed.
