- Test fuses No. S6 (30-amp), S16 (15-amp) and SB14 (30-amp). If fuses are okay, check DTC memory with scan tool and correct any DTC's found. Verify CCM control module coding is correct. See PROGRAMMING CLIMATRONIC CONTROL MODULE (CCM) under PROGRAMMING. Vacuum system and hoses must not be cracked or leaking and air distribution can be adjusted properly. Check wiring for proper connections and open or short circuits. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair any problems found. Verify refrigerant system is fully charged. See GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES in GENERAL SERVICING. Verify A/C clutch and compressor is functioning correctly. Verify outside air temperature is 68-86°F (20-30°C).
- Start engine. Set temperature control to lowest (maximum cooling) temperature on A/C control head. Select minimum blower speed on manual override on A/C-heater control head. Adjust air distribution to instrument panel outlets. Insert thermometer into center instrument panel outlet. Run engine at 1500 RPM. If system outlet temperature does not drop less than 50°F (10°C) within one minute, check for problem in refrigerant system.
