Communications With V.A.G. Unit (Scan Tool)

- Scan tool will display any of the following messages if communication between vehicle and scan tool is interrupted. If message CONTROL MODULE DOES NOT ANSWER is displayed, possible causes can be found by pressing HELP button. If K WIRE NOT SWITCHING TO B+ is displayed, ignition must be switched on.
- If NO SIGNAL FROM CONTROL MODULE is displayed, check scan tool adapter cables and vehicle wiring to Data Link Connector (DLC). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If message ERROR IN COMMUNICATION LINK is displayed at beginning, or during OBD program, malfunctions have occurred and data transfer is no longer possible between scan tool and A/C control module.
