WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan and 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Central flap motor has a Red 5-pin connector and is on one end of 3 connectors. Temperature flap positioning motor has a Red 5-pin harness connector and is located in middle of the 3 connectors. Footwell/defrost flap motor is located on one end of the 3 connectors and has a Yellow harness connector.
- Turn ignition on. If A/C-heater control head display is flashing, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If any DTCs exist, repair problem and clear DTC before proceeding. If no DTCs do not exist, reprogram CCM before performing flap motor basic setting. See PROGRAMMING CLIMATRONIC CONTROL MODULE (CCM) under PROGRAMMING.
- Connect positive battery voltage to terminal No. 4 and negative lead to terminal No. 5 of appropriate flap motor harness connector. Run flap to one end of its travel and verify it moves the full distance. Reverse battery leads and run flap motor to opposite direction and verify flap moves full distance. If flap does not move full distance, adjust as necessary. After adjustment, verify flap motor moves full amount in both directions.
