Final Drive

NOTE: Final Drive oil is checked with transmission installed.

Park vehicle on level surface. Remove speedometer drive. Wipe clean and reinstall. Remove speedometer drive and check oil level. Oil must be between MIN and MAX markings. See Fig 1 . Difference between MIN/MAX is 0.105 qt. (0.1L). Excess oil can be drawn off using oil extraction system (V.A.G. 1358A). Add appropriate fluid as required. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS .
