Camber Adjustment (Front)
- Before attempting any adjustments, perform PRELIMINARY CHECKS . Front wheel camber cannot be set separately. Camber can be evened out uniformly, by loosening subframe bolts and shifting subframe position until correct camber range is obtained.
- Working under vehicle, remove sound-deadening pan. Loosen subframe bolts No. 3 and 4. See Fig 1 .
- Install Camber Adjustment Tool (VAG1941). See Fig 2 . Tighten bolt No. 1 on Camber Adjustment Tool (VAG1941) to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
- Loosen remaining subframe bolts. While observing wheel alignment computer, turn bolt No. 2 on camber adjustment tool to press subframe from side to side until specified value is reached. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
- Loosen bolt No. 2 on camber adjustment tool, and recheck camber range. If camber is not within specified range, repeat procedure.
- If camber is within specified range, using NEW subframe bolts, torque subframe bolts in the following order. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Nos. 7 and 8
- Nos. 5 and 6
- Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4
- After subframe bolts are torqued, recheck all wheel alignment settings and readjust as necessary.
CAUTION:
Manufacturer recommends using NEW subframe bolts if loosened or removed.
